XYFIT 4.51 Excel ADD-ON for data evaluation using cumulative distributions. 
This tool is especially designed to help scientists, engineers and persons, who handle a lot of data. Measurement tools create many data, which need a tool  to extract  the valuable information. An example are electronic devices, testet under different conditions. Each parameter shows a distribution, which are influenced by the sum of different input distributions and internal parts and failures. The knowledge of means, standard deviations and failures is not enough and will not help to identify the weekness of a device. It is more important to know , why and where do devices fail. Are  failures possible, which can pass the tests or creates the test itself the problems, do the tests have to be extended and what causes the failures of unexpected distributions.

XYFIT 4.51 has now a new ADD ON, that produces very easy multiple distribution plots from data . The selection in the data table is comfortable. Points of  a distribution curve can be selected and marked by a different color. With one click the devices which were marked can be colored and formatted in all other distribution diagrams. With one click this coloring can be erased and other points selected. The selected points in a distribution chart automatically color the corresponding cells in the data table. So you can see, where  the marked devices are in other distributions. Do they fail everywhere, do they only fail in special tests or are they distributed correctly in other tests. This allows you to identify, what part of the device causes a weeknes or has the testing tools problems!

What are the differences of the program XYFIT 4.51 and 4.15?
The new XYFIT 4.51 has all the same features of 4.15 except  3 features Linear fitting, MinMax curves  and standard deviation bars added to curves’. They are replaced  by 4 new commands, which are needed for statistical data evaluation. One selects the data without scrolling and fiddling around with the Mouse, one clears the colours and formats of a data table, one is applied to diagrams and identifies all previously marked data either by colouring or removing the whole data line ( removing of a device) and another one marks points on a distribution chart to mark the device related to this data point. With the cumulative distribution command as many series as useful can be created on one diagram. Those , who does not need the differences of version 4.15 and 4.51 should  order XYFIT 4.51. 

Excel ADD ON's  4.15 and 4.51 are independant of the OS.

XYFIT 4.15 is an EXCEL ADD-ON.  There are many programs each with many options. These programs enable rapid calculation of each function and greatly flexible curve fit and provide . The  version 4.15 has considerable improvements especially the Polynomial Fitting. Logarithmic Polynomials now automatically optimize the offset values using Newton's method. The formula of the polynomials can be placed on a worksheet range referring to variables defined by their reference. Fourier Fitting and Polynomial Fitting can be applied to curves created with MS Excel wizard or with XYFIT.

Other programs format charts once for a series of charts, arrange and organize charts and objects to a page or window for print outs or presentations, copy curves to other charts or worksheets as data, append curves, connect curves, remove parts of curves, calculate constants of a whole table with a mathematical function or multiply and divide with another constant ignoring formulae or text or empty cells. 
Date of stock data copied into Excel from Internet pages  almost appear as text. "Date" converts them to real date numbers in date format with one click. 
The Fit function of a chart curve automatically can be placed in a worksheet cell or range referring to x-values on the workbook. 
Polynomial fitting of logarithmic or exponential scaled data is easy with XYFIT. Engineers need to create charts from tables on different sheets ( tests at different temperatures often are on different sheets). 3D creates charts, where  the temperature is a second variable ( each on a different sheet) and can be displayed on a chart as a 3 dimensional (surface) chart.
Statistical propability plots and distribution plots deliver very quick the results needed in the daily work of engineers.
Fourier fitting of stock data can show a trend without short time movements but unfortunately not what will actually happen in the future. There are many more of   helpful functions to reduce a time consuming number crunching on a spreadsheet.

Because the background to XYFIT is Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets and curves can be cut and pasted into Microsoft word and Microsoft powerpoint. It is running on Excel Version 5.0,7.0,8.0 and MS Office 95, 97, 2000.

All programs offer different options for ease of chart construction.  XYFIT is being used to easily convert large financial currency tables into other currencies and to study currency and stock trends.  XYFIT is being used by physicists, engineers and biological scientists who need heavy-duty statistics and plotting combined with the power of EXCEL.

Utility contains 3 programs, one to load data files, text or a ASCII file on the active worksheet cell. Different files can be loaded on the same sheet. Lines that contain a key word can be extracted from these files.  A second program adjusts the curve to the axes. With a 3rd program  charts can be copied and pasted on a chart.  The curves of the copied charts appear in one chart.  It groups and sizes charts to fit to a page or window.  All programs are used for  easy data evaluation in the industry, labs and science.

Compare compares two tables and finds the values matching the criterias defined by the user. A first table range must be selected in a workbook and copied. In any workbook a second table upper left cell must be selected and the compare icon pressed. The range of the second table will be compared for the differences of the values matching the defined criteria. The matching values change their color. Notes are inserted into the matching cells with the percentage of gain and the date. Personal notes can be included. It is ideal to find  changes in  financial and commercial tables. The content of the cells of the table are not affected. Formats and Notes can be removed using the clear format and clear notes command.

Arrange_chart is a tool for everybody needing to display or print an array of charts or just one chart.  Usually they don't fit correctly to the screen or page or their size is different.  To get a professional looking print out of your charts use Arrange_chart, which does it for you.  It recognizes also the zoom of a chart and organizes the charts exactly as they should look.

Convert allows to multiply or divide all numbers selected in a worksheet.  Select a range or multiple ranges and click the Icon "div".  There are many other functions like trigonometric functions, integer, absolute, square root, power, 1/x, exponential, logarithmic, which convert the selected numbers.  Formulae, text and all non constants are ignored.  Convert is used to convert large financial currency tables into other currencies within a few seconds.

Size let the user define the size and the length of the axes of a chart or object and how to group the charts sorted in the X,Y-direction, space and number of columns. The values of an arrangement can be stored and reloaded at any time..

Copy_Special  copies only values, text, formulae, formats.  It corresponds to the Excel  "Goto" dialog. Using this command is easier than browsing through the EXCEL menus.

Calculus is a macro for children 's exercises in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.  The size of the numbers can be defined.  The child can use numbers up to 10, 100 .... more, to test his or her skills.

Eval  cleans data for a distribution plot using MS Excel's Filter function.

FMEA  creates a "Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis" for product developments in the industry.  It can include parts from existing FMEA's.

Scale adjusts the minimum values of the  x and y axis  to the minimum points of a selected curve.  The maximum values still are controlled by Excel.  The crossing of the x and y axis is also set to the minimum values.  Select a curve and click the Icon Scale.
